If you’re an oily girl, you’ll love this selection that I specially made for you. When your makeup looks good, it’s always annoying to see your oils coming to spoil the fun after a few hours. With those primers, you’ll be able to keep your oils in check with ease.
- Veil Mineral Primer by Hourglass
This primer is definitely expensive (54$ for 1 oz at Sephora) but it’ll give you the smoothest canvas for your makeup application. You definitely want to try it out, as it reduces the look of redness, pores and wrinkles while giving you a SPF15 level of sun protection. If you want to try it out, there’s a travel size version that retails at 19$ at Sephora.
- Pores no more, pores refiner primer by Dr Brandt
This primer was really hyped up on Youtube and the hype was deserved. This erases your pores in one swipe and leaves your skin looking really matte without being dry. It is an amazing base to layer your makeup on and it will keep everything looking nice during the day. This primer retails for 45$ at Sephora but a mini version (22$) is available if you want to try it out first.
- Pore & Shine Control Primer by NARS
This baby controls shine and mattifies the looks of your makeup throughout the day. It is a quite recent product by NARS and it retails for 36$ at Sephora (for 1 oz). It also blurs your pores, giving a smooth canvas to work on. You need to give it a try.
- Photo Finish Foundation Primer – Pore Minimizer by Smashbox
How could I not include this primer? This is one of the best. Smashbox is known to nail it with their primers and this one is no exception. With this, your pores will go away and your skin will be evened out. It promises an 8-hour control over your oils which sounds amazing to me. If you want to grab it, it retails for 39$ at Sephora and a mini version is also available for 16$.
- Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector by Becca
This last primer is probably the best one. You won’t believe how matte your skin will look with this primer and how long it will make your makeup last. This jewel is quite underrated in my opinion because it is amazing. Also, compared to the others, you get quite a bang for your buck as the bottle contains more than 1 oz for a 36$ pricetag at Sephora. Want to try it out first? The mini version is available for 15$ at Sephora.
There you have my recommendations. If you had no luck with primers to control your oils and keep your skin matte, look no further because I think this list will help you find your future holygrail primer. Don’t forget to let me know your thoughts in the comments, I’ll be happy to read them. xoxo
